Police have named the man who died following a crash near Otley on Tuesday as Michael Ambrose.

The 29-year-old from Kesgrave had been riding a Suzuki motorbike which was involved in the incident with a Yamaha bike and a Land Rover Discovery which was towing a trailer. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash happened between the junctions for Swiland and Ashbocking on the B1078 around 12.15pm.

The driver and passenger in the Land Rover sustained minor injuries and the second motorcyclist was uninjured.

The road had to be closed while an investigation took place and did not reopen until 8pm that evening.

Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash but has not yet spoken to them to call the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting CAD 183 of 29/7/14.

A driver found asleep in his car with the door open in Ipswich town centre while above the legal alcohol limit has been banned from the road.
