  • A spokesman for Suffolk Police said there had not been any reported incidents of accosting and the warning was a precaution. He said: “Suffolk Police received information that a man in a van has been approaching children near to schools in Ipswich and asking them to go with him. ........sorry but is this not an accosting....come on get it right people!!! “At this stage we have no other information to corroborate this but we are investigating the report and as a precautionary measure are asking schools and parents to remain vigilant.” ac·cost (-kôst, -kst) tr.v. ac·cost·ed, ac·cost·ing, ac·costs 1.
