The regional retailer, which has been building year-by-year on the success of
its Sourced Locally brand, proudly
showed off seasonal goods including
Stokes cranberry sauce made at
Rendlesham, Alder Tree Christmas ice cream from Needham Market, Stoke
Farm Orchards spiced apple juice made
near Stowmarket and Fairfields Farm
turkey crisps made at Wormingford, near Colchester.

East of England Co-op staff were joined for the event by local producers who supply the brand with some special Christmas-themed products.

Roger Grosvenor, executive officer – retail for the East of England Co-op, said: “This year we’ve added some fantastic products to our Christmas range of Sourced Locally products.

“The award-winning Shawsgate Vineyard from Framlingham have a sparkling rosé which is Christmas in a glass, and Hilltop Smokehouse have provided us with a range of stunning handmade pies.

“We’ve also got old favourites like Legg’s Bakery’s mince pies and Hadleigh Maid’s Christmas Whirls.

“Our Sourced Locally range has gone
from strength to strength this year,” he added. “Every year our producer partners surprise us with some amazing new
products, and this year is no exception.

“We’re looking forward to seeing how customers react when they have a chance to try everything.”

Sourced Locally was established in 2007 and sales last year reached around £14.6million. This week’s Christmas launch followed on from the success of an inaugural showcase last year.
