Fears for the safety of people aboard a grounded yacht near Suffolk were reported to the emergency services this afternoon.

Thames Coastguard received reports of a yacht grounded near Shotley Marshes shortly after 4pm.

Holbrook Coastguard attended the yacht and established the people on board were “safe and well” and waiting for next high tide.

Police are due to announce an update on the search for missing RAF gunner Corrie McKeague this afternoon.
