Fears for the safety of people aboard a grounded yacht near Suffolk were reported to the emergency services this afternoon.

Thames Coastguard received reports of a yacht grounded near Shotley Marshes shortly after 4pm.

Holbrook Coastguard attended the yacht and established the people on board were “safe and well” and waiting for next high tide.
