Somerleyton: Chimney fire in thatched property

FIRE crews were mobilised to reports of a chimney fire in a thatched property in Somerleyton, this afternoon
Firefighters from Lowestoft South, another from Lowestoft North and two appliances with a hydraulic platform from the Norfolk Brigade were sent to the incident in The Street, at 2.40pm
Crews fought the fire with chimney rods and a stirrup pump and checked the property for any further fire spread.
The incident was dealt with by 4.16pm
