DETECTIVES are appealing for witnesses to a fracas in the car park of the Queen’s Head public house in Station Road West, Stowmarket, in which a 43-year-old man sustained cuts to his face.

The incident happened between 10.30pm and 11pm on Friday.

A 19-year-old man from Stowupland was subsequently arrested on suspicion of wounding/ GBH.

The 43-year-old was taken to the West Suffolk Hospital where his cuts were treated, before he was discharged.

The 19-year-old suspect was interviewed before being bailed to return to police on January 30, pending further enquiries.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who was in the area around this time who may have seen any part of the incident. If you can help please telephone Detective Constable Kevin Rolt on 101.
