Firefighters have been tackling a blaze at a home in Sudbury this morning.

When the first crew arrived at 8.41am they discovered a vehicle fire which had damaged a fence and spread to a house in Essex Avenue.

Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, two high pressure hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to investigate fire spread, and requested a third appliance.

The fire had spread to the roof and was under control at 9.17am.

Crews from Sudbury and Long Melford were sent to the blaze.
