Suffolk: Downpours lead to flooding in some areas

There has been flooding in parts of Suffolk this afternoon due to heavy downpours.
Melford Road in Sudbury became a river, and there were also reports of surface water on the A14 at Bury St Edmunds.
There has been slow traffic on the A1214 Main Road in Kesgrave around the Doctor Watson’s Lane junction because of flooding.
A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said they were aware of flooding across the county, but hopefully as the downpours stopped the water would soon start to drain away.
