Suffolk County Council’s Endeavour House headquarters will be powerless over the weekend as engineers carry out urgent work.
From 6pm on Friday until 9am on Monday morning, all electricity at Endeavour House will be switched off to enable the work to be carried out.
All computer systems will be offline during these times. The websites run by the county council and Customer Service Direct will be available to the public, however online services will not be operating.
People will be unable to report a pothole or road defect, apply for a home to school transport pass or blue badge, make a job application, comment on a current public consultation or report a street lighting fault.
The county’s public access contact centre, usually open between 9am and 1pm on Saturdays, will not be available.
Essential and immediate services, including Suffolk Fire and Rescue, social services and highways management, will continue to operate.
Anyone wishing to make a payment to Suffolk County Council during this time, such as school meals or invoices, can use its automated telephone payments service which is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by dialling 0845 303 9482.
