The strategy for Suffolk County Council’s next two years of “Raising the Bar” is to be set next week.
The draft Raising the Bar strategy 2018-20 will be considered when Suffolk County Council’s cabinet meets on Tuesday.
It will discuss the strategy’s plan to build on the achievements to date and to develop the ambition to create an education system for children and young people in Suffolk that is among the best in England.
The Raising the Bar 2018-20 strategy focuses on three priorities:
Exceptional leadership and governance across the education sector.
Excellence in teaching and learning.
Creating the best opportunities for every child.
Gordon Jones, cabinet member for Education, said: “Suffolk’s education system has come a long way and there is much to be proud of, however we are not stopping now. The next phase of Raising the Bar continues to be ambitious.”
