Charsfield’s class one teacher Emma Sayer had her hair cut at an assembly last week when pupil Phoebe Tapp had her name drawn from a hat to perform the last snip.

Miss Sayer, writing on her JustGiving fundraising page, said: “As a primary school teacher working with young children every day, I know how much it would affect a child or young adult to lose their hair due to an illness.

“I heard about The Little Princess Trust and the amazing work that they do to make this very hard time for the child themselves and their families, a little easier.

“I therefore decided to grow my hair and not only donate this, but to try and raise the £350-£500 that it costs to make a wig.”
