SUFFOLK’s county council care homes are to be transferred to private operator Care UK after the cabinet approved the move today.
The council’s 16 residential homes will be transferred to Care UK and over the next four years they will be redeveloped or closed.
By the end of 2016 Care UK will run 10 larger homes across the county after a £60 million investment.
Although the number of homes will fall the number of beds will increase from 526 to 680 The Conservative cabinet backed the move unanimously after a two-hour debate at West Suffolk House in Bury St Edmunds.

So when my time comes,i can look forward to CareUk, caring for me and,making a profit,at my expense?. Unanimous Tory decission? ,wonder how they came to that decission, must give a Donation to Party Funds, then i might be given a Years free Board and Lodgings.
