Three charged over computer thefts

Three men have been charged in connection with dozens of burglaries at schools in Suffolk and Essex.

It is understood the allegation involves in the region of 80 burglaries, with more than 40 occurring in Essex and around 30 in Suffolk over a nine-month period.

Christopher Kerr, 25, of Halstead Road, Frinton-on-Sea, Liam Cook, 26, of Bushell Way, Frinton-on-Sea, and Francis Wilding, 21, of Melton Close, Clacton-on-Sea, have all been charged with conspiracy to commit burglary with intent to steal.

The accusations relate to burglaries in both Suffolk and Essex between August 1, 2012, and May 1, 2013, during which laptops and computer equipment was stolen from primary and secondary schools.

The men have been released on bail until their appearance at West Suffolk Magistrates Court on February 18.

Only one potential witness seen on CCTV in Bury St Edmunds on the night Corrie McKeague disappeared remains unidentified.
