Firefighters were kept busy on Tuesday afternoon following a series of fires.
A crew from Elmswell was called to reports of two skips on fire in Grove Lane, Wetherden, at about 5.20pm.
A crew from Stowmarket was also called to help deal with the incident – firefighters then used two hose reel jets to tackle the flames and they had the fire surrounded just before 6pm.
At 6pm, a crew from Ixworth was sent to the scene after a request was made.
Firefighters then used three hose reel jets to extinguish the fire by about 7pm.
At about 8.10pm, crews from Elmswell and Ixworth were sent to Hardings Lane in Norton after reports of a combine harvester on fire.
One hose reel was used to tackle the blaze, which was in an engine compartment, and it was extinguished at about 8.30pm.
Elsewhere in the county on Tuesday, a crew from Ipswich was sent to Top Street in Martlesham following reports of a gas leak at 5.10pm. The leak was isolated 5.23pm.
Two crews from Sudbury were also called to reports of a fire at a fish and chip shop in Landsdown Road, Sudbury, just before 3.30pm, but on arrival, they discovered the fire was already out.
