An historic east Suffolk attraction has been ranked in the top 10 of a national English Heritage list.

Framlingham Castle has been listed alongside the likes of Kenilworth Castle in Warwickshire, Tintagel Castle in Cornwall and Whitby Abbey in North Yorkshire in English Heritage’s list of top great views from its properties.

The castle was home to some of the most powerful people in Tudor England, an Elizabethan prison for the troubled, and a sanctuary for the poor in the 17th Century.
