Dozens of children and teenagers suffering from brain tumours have enjoyed a magical day out roaming the aisles of the world’s biggest toy shop, thanks to the charitable efforts of a Suffolk man.
Matt Brennan, who runs Grange Farm gym in Kesgrave, boxed a series of different opponents for ten rounds at an event this year, which raised £10,000 for Masons Magic.
The cash enabled the charity to take 85 young people, including Mason Fountain who the charity is named after, on a VIP shopping experience to London’s famous Hamleys toy shop.
Mr Brennan, said: “Seeing the children and their families enjoy such a special experience was amazing.
“It is something they will remember and it was just a magical day out for everyone involved.”
Mason’s mum, Shelley Fountain, who runs Masons Magic, said: “This was an amazing opportunity for the children to have time to themselves in the shop.
“There were no crowds and they could really have a good look round and choose some wonderful toys to take home.”
