FIREFIGHTERS have dealt with a spate of chimney fires across Suffolk.
First to be called out yesterday afternoon was a crew from Elmswell, which dealt with a blaze at a house in The Street in Norton near Bury St Edmunds just after 4pm.
Then around 6pm, a crew from Orford was sent to another chimney fire in Hocket Crescent, Tunstall. It took them just under an hour to get the blaze under control.
A third fire broke out in a chimney at a property on The Green, Saxstead at 8.20pm. One crew from Framlingham attended the incident and extinguished the fire by 9pm.
