Cyclists pedalled around Suffolk raising thousands of pounds for the county’s churches.
Around 3,000 riders took part in the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust Sponsored Bike Ride on Saturday, which featured 700 chapels and churches.
Honorary press officer Rachel Sloane said: “The idea started in Suffolk 32 years ago but now it’s across the country.
“Here in Suffolk we still raise more money than anywhere else in the country. The idea started in Aldeburgh and since then it’s grown and grown.”
Riders – and some walkers – could visit as many or as few of the churches as they wanted. Mrs Sloane said one man had travelled between 55 churches on the day.
Last year more than £155,000 was raised with the organisers expecting a similar total this time around.
The money is split between the churches and the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust.
