Teenager arrested after suspected stabbing in Claydon

A man suffered suspected, multiple stab wounds during an incident in Claydon on Saturday night. A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
Police were called to reports of a disturbance at an address in Norwich Road in Claydon at around 8.15pm on Saturday. It is believed a man was stabbed during the incident.
A man in his 30s was later taken by land ambulance to Ipswich Hospital with injuries not thought to be serious.
A teenager was arrested at an address in Norwich Road and questioned on Saturday night. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Suffolk Constabulary said in a statement: “A teenage boy has been arrested on suspicion of assault following an incident in Claydon.
“Police were called at approximately 8.15pm on Saturday, June 17, to reports of a disturbance at an address in Norwich Road where a man was believed to have been stabbed.
“Officers quickly attended and located a man in his 30s who had been injured. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance for treatment, however his injuries are not thought to be life threatening or life changing.
“The teenager was brought into custody at Martlesham Police Investigation Centre on Saturday evening where he was interviewed by officers.
“He has now been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
“Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact Suffolk police on 101 quoting reference 42375/17.”
An East of England Ambulance Service Trust spokesman said: “We were called at 8.20pm on June 17 to Norwich Road in Claydon.
“An ambulance crew, ambulance officer and Essex Air Ambulance were dispatched to a report of a man who had multiple wounds.
“He was treated at the scene and taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance in a serious condition.”
