Part of the A11 was blocked by a multi-vehicle crash last night.

Police were called after what is thought to be three cars and a lorry were involved in an incident on the northbound carriageway in Thetford.

Debris is having to be cleared from the carriage. The ambulance service were also called to deal with minor injuries and the fire service attended when smoke was seen coming from one of the vehicles.

A volunteer team from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service also went to the scene.

The SARS team helped treat two patients, one for neck and arm injuries and the other for neck and hip injuries.

They then travelled with the two patients to the West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.
