LADIES are invited to put their best foot forward and join in a charity stroll along Suffolk’s coast.
Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s Walk on the Wildside is taking place from Thorpeness Country Club on the morning of Thursday, October 11.
Around 180 ladies were a vision in pink when they stepped out for last year’s fundraiser – and this time around promises to be no different.
There is a choice of a seven-mile or 12 -mile route, followed by lunch at Thorpeness Country Club.
Sarah Williams, who is helping organise the event, said it was a great chance for friends to get together and explore Suffolk’s heritage coastline.
“It promises to be great fun,” she said. “A lot of people make a day of it by getting a group of friends together who dress up in their most shocking pink outfits.
“It’s a lovely way to see some of Suffolk’s heritage coast, while at the same time raising money for a very worthy cause.
“Anyone interested in finding out more or who wants to take part can either contact myself or log on to our website.”
Last year’s event – which raised around £4,500 for Breakthrough Breast Cancer – saw people dress in a variety of costumes, ranging from a band of marauding pirates through to maids with fluffy dusters.
Breakthrough is committed to finding the causes of breast cancer, improving detection, diagnosis, treatment and services.
