Rail services between London Liverpool Street and East Anglia were disrupted this afternoon due to a track defect.

Greater Anglia trains between the capital and Essex, Suffolk and Norfolk faced cancellation or revision from around 11am.

Delays were expected until 5pm.

There was a problem with the railway track just outside London Liverpool Street station.

Stansted Express and London Overground services were also impacted.
