Travel: Major disruption on rail because of signalling problems

RAIL commuters are facing major delays this evening due to signalling problems.

Greater Anglia is reporting there is major disruption between Ipswich and London Liverpool Street.

Signalling problems have been reported between Wickford and North Fambridge and also at London Liverpool Street.

A spokesman for Greater Anglia said the incident will result in trains being cancelled or delayed.

  • We did NOT get all these problems before Thatcher privatised the Railways ! I remember when a maintenance man used to walk the lines with a sledge hammer over his shoulder ! RE NATIONALISE THE RAILWAYS, they should be a a valuable part of OUR structured TRANSPORT SYSTEM !, like in most European countries !
