Travel: Van fire tackled by fire crews in layby near Copdock Interchange

Firefighters have put out a van fire near the Copdock Interchange.

It happened just before 7.45am in a layby on the northbound carriageway of the A12 just before the junction.

Two fire crews were sent from Princes Street in Ipswich and a third came from Hadleigh.

Crews wearing breathing apparatus used one hose reel to fight the fire.

The fire was out by 8.14am and traffic is now flowing normally.
