A CAR has left the road and collided with a pole on the A140.
Motorists in the area of the A140 at Thwaite are advised to travel with care after the single car crash.
Police said paramedics were called to the scene before 7am today to treat the driver, whose injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
Fire crews were also called to the scene and are currently awaiting the arrival of a UK Power Network engineer. The car will not be removed until the power has been isolated.
Motorists in the rest of the county can expect a relatively stress-free journey with no lengthy delays reported.
Weather conditions today will be warmer than those of late, as forecasters predict temperatures will reach up to 4C.
