Greater Anglia services between Ipswich and Lowestoft have been cancelled.
The train operator has said there are electrical problems between Wickham Market and Saxmundham.
They have therefore cancelled the 10.17am, 11.17am and 12.17pm services from Ipswich to Lowestoft and the 11.07am and 12.07pm trains from Lowestoft to Ipswich.
Replacement bus services are being arranged for passengers travelling on the East Suffolk line.
A spokesperson for Network Rail, the rail infrastructure manager, said: “We’re currently experienceing a loss of power to the network between Wickham Market and Saxmundahm owing to issues with an external power source following the adverse weather experienced on Monday.
“The line is currently blocked to services as a power supply is needed to control level crossings and signalling on the line.
“Network Rail currently has backup generators on the way to the site to temporarily restore power while the external supply is being fixed.”
No time has been given for when the line will be reopened.
