Police were called to the two-vehicle collision, near the slip-road leading to the village in the Newmarket-bound direction, at 1.45pm.

Ambulance and fire crews are also in attendance.

An ambulance service spokesman said: “Two casualties were treated, one for a neck injury and one suffering a chest injury.

“Their conditions aren’t thought to be serious but they’ve been conveyed to West Suffolk Hospital for further treatment.”
