Over-running engineering work has caused disruption on the region’s trains.

The 6.48am Norwich to London Liverpool Street is cancelled, as well as the 7.30am and 7.55am London Liverpool Street to Norwich.

Trains between Ipswich and Felixstowe are also currently cancelled, with a replacement bus service running in their place.

The 6.20am Ipswich to Saxmundham service is cancelled, and the 7.44am Saxmundham to Lowestoft service is also cancelled.

  • Can it get any worse? Each week Shambellio announce a long list of daily cancellations, short trains, etc etc. This mornings travel advice email from them listed the Felixstowe train being sent instead to run the Sudbury service, backed up by coaches, buses on the Felixstowe-Ipswich service, short trains on the main line and cancelled and delayed trains on the main line. Plus cancellations on the Lowestoft line. There's probably more carnage out of our area in Norfolk and nearer London. Many of these problems could NOT be blamed on Network Rail but just inefficiency and bad management. This is totally unacceptable and I hope their "Reward" comes at the time of the Franchise renewal (sooner the better!).

  • It is pathetic especially at weekends when mostly you are put on a coach instead of a train and still charged the same

  • Not really news is it, you could have a look at next weekends line closures and predict the over running now.
