Travel: Incident on A14 causes delays for motorists and two taken to hospital after collision between car and motorcycle in Ipswich

Motorists travelling on the A14 near Stowmarket are facing delays this morning following an accident on the Felixstowe-bound carriageway.

The incident happened between the junctions for Stowmarket and Stowupland. Full details of the incident are not yet known but it has caused delays.

Meanwhile, paramedics were called to Valley Road just before 6.30am today following a collision involving a motorcycle and a car.

A spokesman for the ambulance service: “The male motorcyclist sustained an arm injury and the female in the car received a knee injury. Both were treated by the ambulance crews at the roadside before they were taken to Ipswich Hospital for further treatment.”

Their injuries are not life-threatening.
