The chilly conditions have meant that more ice has developed on roads across the county.

A spokeswoman for Suffolk police said: “It was below freezing again last night so drivers should be very aware of icy roads today.”

There are currently no major delays on rail services in Suffolk, and rail provider Greater Anglia are reporting a good service on the Norwich to London Liverpool Street main line.

Forecasters said temperatures today will reach a maximum of -1C, with a light northeasterly wind sweeping in.

But despite the frosty conditions, the day ahead is expected to be dry with bright and sunny spells.
