HEAVY rain and high winds are expected to have an effect on travel in many parts of the country today, but Suffolk remains largely unaffected with no reports of problems on the county’s roads or rail services.
The Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for rain in the East of England and an Amber Warning for wind and rain in London and South East England – with torrential downpours and gale force winds expected in some places.
The Environment Agency has issued flood warnings in several areas of the country, but East Anglia and the South East areas are unaffected.
The Met Office is warning the public to be aware of the potential for disruption and keep up to date with warnings and forecasts in their area.
