Traffic lights in Ipswich, Mildenhall, Brandon and Bury St Edmunds are causing minor delays for motorists this morning.

Stoke Quay in Ipswich is closed at the Felaw Street junction and there are temporary traffic lights and roadworks on the A1065 London Road in Brandon at the Saffron Close junction.

Traffic is reported to be slow moving in both directions on the A1101 Bury Road in Mildenhall between the Brandon Road junction and Fiveways due to road works. And temporary traffic lights and roadworks on Bedingfeld Way in Bury St Edmunds at the Symonds Road junction are also causing delays.

  • Plus long-standing roadworks in Ipswich at the top of Bishop's Hill, where the four-way traffic control has been causing chaos for a week or two. Particularly annoying as I've hardly ever actually seen any work going on there. But at least it's a taster for the mess we'd've had if Graham Newman had got his way and added *permanent* traffic lights here.
