There are minor delays on trains between Ipswich and London Liverpool Street this morning due to signalling problems.

The problems at Ipswich mean services may be delayed for up to 15 minutes at short notice.

Network Rail are investigating and will provide an update when the problem has been fully assessed.

  • You appear to have overlooked the enormous problems on the network yesterday evening. People trying to return south to Ipswich from the north were first marooned at Peterborough, then were shunted off to Cambridge to pick up a train which broke down. Buses to get them to Ipswich didn't turn up. It ended with taxis having to be commandeered to allow people to complete their journey. 5 hours to get from Peterborough to Ipswich. Anyone who says the rail service is better off in private hands is lying.
