Travel: Southbound A12 closed after accident involving four vehicles

There has been a four-vehicle collision on the A12 in Essex.

It happened at 12.30pm on the southbound carriageway near the Kelvedon south junction.

Essex Police said the entire southbound carriageway was closed at the scene of the crash.

The vehicles involved were a grey VW Polo, a grey Audi A3, a silver VW Passat and a white Peugeot Partner.

The female driver of the Audi was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The road has now reopened but there are still long delays.
