Travel: Two women injured in collision on A14

Two women have been hurt after a crash on the A14 near Copdock this morning.

A grey Audi A6 and a silver Vauxhall Meriva collided while travelling in the eastbound lane at around 9.30am. One of the vehicles then crashed into a tree beside the road.

Both women were complaining of chest pains with one also suffering a shoulder injury.

An ambulance attended and the vehicles were expected to be recovered by 10am.

A Suffolk Constabulary spokesman said the accident had caused major tailbacks.
