A BROKEN down train caused misery for rail passengers this morning, with delays of around 45 minutes between Ipswich and Colchester.

A spokesman for train operator National Express East Anglia said affected services are now running normally.

The routes affected were Norwich to London Liverpool Street and Harwich Town to Manningtree after a train broke down near Manningtree.

  • I know an instant response is impossible after Saturdays meeting with the operators. But perhaps the embarrassment with another day of delays will actually make them do something sooner rather then later. I think not they are all in jobs for life whatever service they deliver.
