A man has been rescued from a car and taken to hospital following a crash.

Fire crews were called to Howlett Way, Trimley St Martin, just before 1.30pm after a Ford Focus had crashed trapping a man.

The roof of the vehicle was removed using cutting equipment before he was transferred to an ambulance.

He was taken to hospital but a woman, who was also in the car, did not require medical treatment.

A police spokeswoman said a team from the Highways Agency had been called as road was slippery due to a likely fuel spill. The nature of the man’s injuries are not currently known.
