POLICE are today hunting a gang of three burglars who broke into a village shop and stole cigarettes worth hundreds of pounds.
The raiders forced open the front door of the premises and then smashed open a cabinet behind the counter.
Police said the incident happened in Faulkeners Way, Trimley St Mary, around 2.40am on Sunday.
Three people – believed to be white males, of comparatively small build, wearing dark trousers and dark coats – were seen fleeing the premises.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and saw or heard anything suspicious, either at the shop or in the surrounding area of the Farmlands estate, is asked to call the police investigation team on 101.
