The man, from the London area, was discovered with a gunshot wound in Cordy’s Lane just after 1pm on Saturday – it is thought he travelled to Suffolk that morning.

He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment but was discharged on Sunday morning and taken back to his home after being interviewed by officers.

Inquiries are continuing to determine what happened, and the motive for the incident.

Police are asking anyone who was in the area and spotted anything to contact them on 101.

  • "from the London area" - a secluded track in trimley is the most unlikely place for a day trip! We can only guess what was going on there. How about some update on the details? what was he shot with, a bb gun? an air gun? which would be minor, or more seriously a shotgun? a handgun? etc
