Tuddenham: Lee Bye moves from sous-chef to head chef at Tuddenham Mill

The new head chef for the Tuddenham Mill hotel has been named.

Paul Foster will be handing his kitchen whites to Lee Bye, 27, from Fordham, Cambridgeshire.

Mr Foster, who is one of Suffolk’s most high-profile chefs, is to leave the county as he pursues his long-term goal of securing a Michelin star.

Mr Bye, who worked with Mr Foster at Tuddenham Mill as his sous chef, will take over on February 17.

He said: “I’m keen to draw a wide customer base within the area and make Tuddenham Mill a strong and viable restaurant used for all occasions, whether it is a snack, Sunday lunch or a special treat.

“My aim is for all of this to be delivered at a high standard and a fair price.”

He said his style was “very much a boy who has grown up in the country” who loves working with the region’s best produce
