Up, up and away - take a look at our Suffolk iwitness picture of the day

As the warmer weather approaches, hot air balloons will once again take to the skies over the sprawling fields of the East Anglian countryside.

The scenic rural communities of Suffolk and Essex offer the perfect views for passengers taking a pleasure flight in the light aircraft.

Several companies operate in this area, offering residents the chance to take a different view of the world.

In summertime, the colourful, heat-filled balloon domes are a regular sight in our skies.

To remind us what to expect in the warmer months, Paul Bustin shared this image of a Virgin hot air balloon, taken while his feet were firmly on the ground.
