POLICE have re-opened the A140 in Scole following a collision which left a 73-year-old man seriously injured.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 2.20pm after a crash involving an Audi and a Suzuki.
A 73-year-old man who was driving the Suzuki was ejected from his seat and landed in the road.
Medical charity Suffolk Accident and Rescue Service (SARS) and an air ambulance were mobilised to the scene to treat the man who has sustained serious chest injuries. He was transferred to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.
The three occupants of the Audi including a three-year-old boy suffered minor injuries.
The road is now open but there is queueing traffic in both directions between the A143 junction and the Castleton Way junction.
