Update: Investigation continues after attempted armed robbery in Ipswich

OFFICERS are continuing to investigate an attempted armed robbery at a shop in Ipswich last night.
Suffolk police received a report of an attempted armed robbery at the Spar store in Woodbridge Road at around 9.45pm.
Two men approached the female shop worker and demanded money from the till. One of the men threatened her with what appeared to be a handgun.
Both men left the shop without any money leaving the female member of staff shocked but unhurt.
The first suspect is described as being about 6ft 5ins tall, of a stocky build and was wearing a grey long-sleeved top.
The other man was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit with a hooded top. Both men had their faces covered.
Police are carrying out house-to-house enquiries and will be reviewing CCTV footage from the shop and the surrounding area.
Officers will also be speaking to residents and conducting reassurance patrols in the area.

RC on 15th November you can register your dissatisfaction by voting for your local Police Commissioner who will arrive in a poof of smoke on 16th November and ridd the county of crime. I don't see why you blame the police for this happening though, crime tends to go up during a recession anyways.

What a stupid comment RC. How many police officers do you think there actually is working at one time? Crime will always happen and there is nothing we can do about that... trying to pass blame doesn't help anyone.

re RC, there new police station is outside vodka revolutions on a saturday night, mainly to be found there majority of the night, if you have and problem and nobody else can help maybe you can pop down to see them there

Where are the police in this town?? I know they can't be everywhere all of the time, but they don't seem to be anywhere any of the time! I just never see them.
