POWER has been restored to residents in Tuddenham Avenue, Ipswich following an underground cable fault.

Twenty-eight houses in the road lost power due to the fault, which occurred at 10.46am this morning.

A spokeperson for UK Power Networks said: “UK Power Networks staff have this morning isolated power to 28 customers in Tuddenham Avenue in Ipswich in order to safely carry out repair work on an underground cable fault.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused in order to complete this essential work.”

The power was restored by 1.18pm.
