Van found ‘well alight’ near Suffolk police headquarters

A van blaze was extinguished in Martlesham today.

Firefighters were called to Portal Avenue, which leads to Suffolk Constabulary headquarters, at 12.12pm.

On arrival, the crew from Ipswich East found the van to be “well alight”.

Using one hose reel, firefighters put out the blaze by 12.32pm.
