Walsham le Willows: Chimney fire dealt with by firefighters

A FIRE crew from Ixworth have put out a fire in a chimey in Walsham le Willows.
They were called to Wattisfield Road, at 11.50am, and had to remove a woodburner stove to extinguish the fire and check for hot spots.
Small gear and a thermal imaging camera were used to find the fire which was located in the chimney pot and they then used a stirrup pump and chimney rods to extinguish the blaze.
