PEOPLE are being warned today of the dangers of walking on icy ponds in Ipswich parks.
There are signs in Christchurch Park next to the Wilderness Pond and park bosses stressed that everyone should keep away from the ponds, especially during this icy spell.
A spokesman said: “It might look like fun, but ponds can be a hazard and we do want to avoid any accidents.
“We want everyone to stay safe and also to be careful on icy paths.”
