Witham: Two men arrested on A12 after car burglary

Two men have been charged with a series of offences after they were arrested over the theft of a car.

Police were made aware that a Nissan Juke had been stolen from a house in Cressing Road, Witham just before 3am on Friday, and tracked the vehicle down on the A12 just half an hour later.

Simon Frisenda, 25, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary, theft of a motor vehicle, driving whilst disqualified and using a motor vehicle without insurance.

Alfie Smith, 19, of no fixed address, was charged with burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.

They were both remanded in custody and were due to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates Court this morning.
