Two men threatened an 18-year-old woman with a screwdriver before barging into her home in Ipswich and making demands for cash.

The aggravated burglary happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday, December 29, at a property in Finbars Walk.

According to a spokesman for Suffolk police, a suspect knocked on the door of the woman’s home and asked if a man called ‘James’ lived there.

When the 18-year-old woman turned him away, he returned with a second man.

They entered the house while threatening the woman with a screwdriver.

The two suspects then ransacked the house while demanding cash from the victim.

She handed over £200 from her purse.

A police spokesman added: “It is believed that other cash and jewellery has been taken along with victim’s mobile phone. “No-one was hurt in the incident.”

The first suspect is described as about 5ft 10 ins tall with blonde or light brown hair and aged in his early or mid-twenties.

He was slim and wearing a grey hooded top and grey jogging bottoms.

The second male was described as slightly older than the first male.

He was wearing all black, a black hooded top, and also had the lower part of his face covered.

He had short dark hair and was possibly also wearing gloves.
